Colourful hats !

About a week back, I was in Chennai. And as I went about my duties, I noticed that the head gear of the traffic police in Chennai is quite different from that of those in Bangalore.

Made me curious! Is it really true that the head gears of the traffic police in each of the states in India have their own distinct identity? Pretty Interesting!

This made me go about looking at the head gears of the traffic police in South India.

Check the Chennai Traffic police head gear. Perhaps the most boring one of the lot.

The traffic police in Bangalore wear something like this. Note that the traffic police also has the round shapped hat - only his is in white.
And then I also knew that the traffic police in Pondicherry wear their european style hats - the influence of being the French colony long back.

And check out the head gear of the Mumbai traffic police. The very traditional cap worn in the villages of Maharastra.
The bureaucrats in India do have a good sense of humour, creativity and identity ! Feels good to know that !! :)

Veens,

A refreshingly different subject and an astute observation!

Keep writing,
