Acknowledge

This post was written as a year end post in the last week of 2010 by my husband. I have always liked it and have been wanting to share this with all of you for quite some time. And since it is the beginning of a new year, what better time to do it than now.

This post is not about English !, but more about the act of acknowledgement. Look at the third meaning "to take notice of "

This is the last week of the year and good time to reflect on the year passed by. As Socrates said “The unexamined life is really not worth living”. I have been sharing my thoughts on leadership for quite some time and one of the most important traits of leaders is that they always acknowledge. They acknowledge their successes, failures, fears, victories, limitations, ideas, contributions and teams.

By acknowledging we accept things the way they are and get an access to create something new.

Also look at the meaning “.. to express gratitude”.

Year end is also time to acknowledge all the contributions (however small or big ) by people in your life !
